Here's the scoop!

Artsy Girl Workshop and Trunk Show with Monica Martin
Saturday, November 19th
10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Join the super-creative Monica Martin for a first-time workshop that teaches you how to create your own art canvas. Monica has been creating her own beautiful canvases for the last year and we have had so many of you ask “when is she going to teach?” The time has come! Plus, you’ll get the opportunity to view and purchase some of her own pieces.
You don’t have to be an artist to enjoy this class. Canvas art is all about personal expression using paper crafting supplies. Monica will show you how to add rub-on’s and bling and flowers and paper and stamps to create your OWN one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
Your class fee includes an 8x10 canvas and a $10 store credit to be used the day of the class on items THAT YOU CHOOSE for your canvas. Monica will bring tons of tools and supplies from her own Art Room that you can use on your canvas too.
Just $30 for this workshop!

Exciting things are happening...

with The Artsy Girl Studio, and I am so looking forward to all of it!
I will be teaching a Mixed Media workshop and having a trunk show with some of my originals on Saturday, November 19th at Ever After Scrapbooks . I hope that many of you will join me as we paint, stencil, ink, stamp, and glue our morning away, while creating your own original canvas. Plan to get messy, and have a lot of fun! You can see all the details soon on their website or Facebook page.

Of course, I will be happy to remind all of you as it gets closer!  I have a few other exciting announcements too, but I will save those for a later date...

Happy Halloween this weekend, hope your little ones are excited as mine is! No more Princess, here comes a Vampiress. sigh...

True Addicts LOVE Pinterest!

For the past six months, I have been inspired and amazed by all of the great ideas shared by my fellow pinners over at Pinterest. What is Pinterest? For me, it's love. It's a website you must be invited to by a friend, and the idea is to share great ideas/photos/tutorials/quotes/recipes/etc. Just about anything you can find interesting and want to share with others. It's sort of like creating an idea or inspiration board, but it's online. You can create your own boards, and title them whatever you'd like. I have a pink board, a mixed media board, as well as a "I should try that" board. It really is quite brilliant! So, if I'm not with my kids, painting, or on facebook, you can find me pinning away like a mad woman on Pinterest!

October means gearing up for the holidays around here!

I've got a list a mile long of "to do's" and another long list of wanna do's for this upcoming season, and I'm trying to find enough hours in the day...anyone else have this issue? But seriously, I am excited to experience my first holiday season as an Etsy seller/shop. I will be offering gift wrap, as well as direct shipping to the recipient as part of my shop this year, with a few surprises for all purchases!
Be sure to check the shop for new stuff in the coming weeks...for now, back to painting...
