30 days of Art, 30 days of Mess...

and somehow I love it! I love the mess, and I love the creativity that happens when I make a big ol, huge, up to my elbows, all over my shirt... mess! It usually means a few good canvases come out of it, but yesterday I was out of canvases. How could that be? There are some on the way, but meanwhile, in keeping with my thirty day commitment, I HAD to create Art! So, I had this pad of canvas sheets my friend Julia gave me when she moved. It totally did the job, and they turned out fairly well. The test for me is once I scan the object, how will it look as a print? Will the textures, and design show up as well? I sure hope so! As soon as the box of canvases arrives, I will be diving in to my early birthday present I bought myself. A 40 ct. box of watercolor crayons. Yes, crayons. Not your average, Crayola box of 48, or even 64! I can't wait to try them! Happy Creating Blog Friends...

    Today's Art...September 6, 2011

Here's my ART for today...this was done with canvas paper (thanks Julia!) pan pastels, and a pencil. I love using these pastels, but wish they'd scan/print better. Oh well. Can't wait to see what tomorrows inspiration brings...

30 DAYS of get your ART ON...

I'm taking on the blog challenge of creating ART for 30 days straight! I will be posting my art at the end of each week. Meanwhile, here are the guidelines:

30 Days of Get Your Art On
    • I’ll make art every day for 30 days and post what I have done.
    • I don’t have to finish what ever I’m working on that day, I just have to work on something.
    • I have to work for 30 minutes, but can work longer if time permits.
    • It doesn’t matter what I do for the art making, as long as I work on art.
    • I won’t feel guilty for taking the time to work on art and I won’t have to justify why I’m doing it.
    • I don’t have to go into detail in my post about how I did anything or what tools, materials I used (unless I want to).
