Sharing some new ART...

Summer is a crazy time in my family! Lots of travel, lots of things to do...we are so blessed to live in a place where the summer is mild, and gives us the time to get out and enjoy it! After letting my art desk sit quiet for a few weeks I gave it a go this week. You'll see in these latest pieces I've used quiet a bit of pastels. I am getting the hang of using them on my mixed media, and it has been fun experimenting with colors.

INSPIRATION FOUND...

Yes, I took over 600 photos this month on our vacation. Many of them were still shots of flowers, plants, vegetables, and scenery. So much color and texture...so much to look at. Capturing it through the lens is the best I can do for now. It really did work! It inspired me to work on some small tiny canvases for note cards, and gave me some good ideas for future projects. I met an amazing photographer at the farmers market who has a local gallery as well, and was completely amazed by his talent. We chatted and he even gave me a few pointers on photography. I love when you meet nice people who are willing to share their passion. Good stuff is happening...
